Emily walked out of the home, that she had be living in the past about 14 years in Gil'ead. Emily had be living in Gil'ead for the past six years because it was one of the training places for dragon riders. the Council decide to send Emily out here to train as a dragon rider, at that point in time, her dragon could easily ride on her shoulder. Now that was impossible for her purple dragon to do now, since her dragon was six years old. Emily would admit that show up in the last six years when her dragon hatched for her, just as much as her dragon had shot up. When Emily left her home, she walked towards the gates of the city. As Emily neared the gate that she shifted her pack more as well as making sure her rider sword was still in her belt. For Emily didn't want to leave Gil'ead without her rider's sword, more so with the fact she just barely become a fully trained dragon rider. Upon reaching the gates, Emily had turned and faced the city, Emily knows she would come back to Gil'ead one day. For this was her home and where her family was, for this city was a major trading city between the humans and the elves and her father was a trader. Because of it her father had went to different cities to trade things, but much of her father's business was done here in Gil'ead.
Because of the fact that her father did most of his business is how Emily and her family had come to live here. Because this was an elven city and a place where riders were trained, her father hoped that Emily or one of other two siblings would be a rider. her two older siblings had went first when the were of age to be trained, but no egg had hatched for them. So when no egg had hatched, her brother had learned to be a cabin boy and was now a first mate of a ship. Her older sister had become a shop assistant, Emily had wanted to travel though, like her father travels. Emily wasn't saying she didn't want to be a rider, it was just that she wanted to travel, move around. To travel the land was one reason why Emily wanted to be a trader, another reason was because being a trader seems to be fun. Emily know she could travel the land if she had become a dragon rider, considering the fact that neither of her siblings had become a dragon rider, it had be unlikely that she would be a dragon rider. When it had be Emily's turn to see if a dragon egg would hatch for her, her father had very little hope that Emily would be a rider.
When Emily had reached the very last dragon egg that her dragon had hatched from, Emily and her family had totally gave up the hope that no in their family would become a dragon rider. So it had come as a surprise when Emily had touched the purple egg that it suddenly hatched and revealed the little purple dragon inside of it. Emily was glad in so many ways for she could still travel, but yet, she was somewhat sad for she won't be a trader like her father. Emily shifted her bag once more and than turned around and walked though the gates of her home that would remain as her home. As Emily walked out further, she had called out to her dragon, of within a few moments Ianthe had come out of the sky and landed down in front of her.

Wake up Vervada, time to go. Jacob watched his dragon, a mighty, dark red beast, slowly uncurl herself and stretch, having woke up when he had spoken. They were old friends, and were dragon and rider. He had been 14 when she had hatched for him, though now he was 205 years old, making her 191 years old. They knew each other’s ways, knew almost exactly what each other wanted or needed. Which was why he knew she was hungry.
Oh all right. Take the hour and eat, no need you being hungry while we travel to Ceunon. Oh really? And just what gave you the thought that you could tell me what to do this fine morning? This was how they carried on most mornings. He laughed as she lay right back down and stared him in the face, waiting for his next comment which wasn’t long in coming. Nothing my dear. Of all the things that I command, you aren’t among them. For you almost never listen. He bit back a smile while he spoke, but was unable to withhold the burst of laughter when she snorted and set the grass in front of his feet on fire. Oh? I’d watch what you say Jake…..you never know when I might run off!
As soon as she finished speaking she jumped as high as she could and flew off. Jake simply laughed, knowing that she was going for food. In the meantime he finished gathering his things together: His blood-red iridescent rider sword he hung from his left hip. His bag of travelling equipment he put on his back. Then he decided to take a walk around Gilead before they left. He liked this town, though this wasn’t where he lived. His home was in Ceunon. He had been there to cover for a trainer for a few weeks while the guy was out on whatever assignment he had been given. This was something he enjoyed doing, though he wasn’t exactly a teacher himself. It was something he wanted to do.
It was in this state of mind that he usually grew slightly depressed, as it was something he wanted so badly, but it was also something the Rider council wouldn’t let him have because they claimed he was needed for other things. Don’t dwell on it Jake, it’ll happen soon enough. Just stay patient and wait. I’ll be back in half an hour. [/i] He sighed his acceptance and started paying more attention to his surroundings. He drew comfort from the familiar sights and sounds: He had grew up in Ceunon. While he was doing this he noticed a young rider walking out a gate now far from him, a bag on her shoulders and her rider sword on her hip. Her purple dragon wasn’t far behind her. He decided he’d stop and talk, something to waste away his wait, and so he walked up to the person and put a smile on his face. Hey there! I’m Jake….I think I’ve seen you around here the last few weeks. Just graduate?--------------------------- Hey! Vervada Talking! Hey! Jake Thinking!/Talking to VervadaHey! Jake Talking![/blockquote]

Emily smiled as she walked over to her dragon, Ianthe, when Emily reached Ianthe that Emily petted her neck. Are you ready to go to Ceunon to talk with your father one last time before heading over to Doru Araeba to get your first assignment now that you are a full rider. Emily smiled when Ianthe said that, Ianthe knew Emily well enough that Emily wanted to talk to her father one more time before getting her first assignment as a dragon rider. Emily had know her father was happy to know that Emily would be a rider and he was happier when he learned that she just barely become a dragon rider. But he wasn't there when she was added to the ranks of being a dragon rider since he had some trading to do in Ceunon. Well actually her father had went over there to give one of the elves the request that elf had ask for. Her father had told the elf that he would bring the goods over to the elf's house when they had arrived, of course some of the other elves wanted a couple of goods that they could get from her father.
Yes, I am ready, I just need to put the bag on the saddle and get on you. Emily was about ready to take the bag off of her shoulder when she heard a voice come from behind her, Emily didn't jump or anything when she heard the voice, she just turned around to see who had spoke. It was a male human that had spoke to her, Emily wasn't sure of how old the male was, judging from his rider's sword than he has to be at least 18 years or older. Emily had to admit that it was hard to tell of how old the male rider was though, but Emily decided not task that question though. The rider had old her that his name was Jake and than brought that he thought he saw her around in the past few weeks and ask if she become a full rider. "I am Emily, I had be training here at Gil'ead for about six years. I just barely graduated within the past week. I would be going to Doru Araeba for my fist assignment, but before that, I am going over to Ceunon to spend the day with him, since he wasn't here when I had graduated."

Ah, I had thought as much. Well then Emily, since you and your dragon…. He paused wondering the name of her dragon, then continued. are going to Ceunon, might you want some company? Vervada and I are leaving as soon as she gets back and going back to our house there.
Easy for you to say. You’ll get to just sit on my back and lounge away the hours while I do all of the work. You know, I should just make you run the whole way there. In fact, you should carry me there for a change. Let me rest while you do all the work. He could sense her laughter at the thought of him carrying her, a two hundred plus year old dragon all the way to Ceunon. Shut Up Vervada…. About that time he heard a loud roar from well above hem, and when he looked up he saw his massive red dragon streaking toward them, seemingly about to excavate a rather large crater out of the town. He watched as at the last minute she flared her wings and backflapped, landing heavily and causing him to flex his knees to avoid being knocked down. He looked over at the young rider and smiled.
Emily, meet Vervada. Vervada, Emily. Yes, Greetings young one. Jake then ran over and quickly mounted Vervada’s saddle and strapped himself down, and then he looked down at the younger Rider Emily again. Well, time for me to go, are you coming? Or do you have other plans to do first?

Jake told he thoguht as such, that she Ianthe and Emily were goign that that he had ask her if she would like some company. For Jake and Vervada, of which Emily figure was his dragon, were goign there as well, Emily didn't see any reason for not having company. Unless if you have a problem with goign with them, Ianthe. No I don't have a problem with them coming along with us since the are going to the same place as we are. "Sure, we would like some company." it was not long after Emily said that, that there was a loud roar coming form above them, Emily looked up to see a dark red dragon flying high above. Emily figure that dragon was Vervada, it made sense since Jake brought that he would be leaving soon when Vervada gets there and Emily couldn't imagine it being anyone else. Vervada streak down towards them and at the last minute the red dragon had flared her wings out and landed heavily on the ground.
Than Jake introduce Emily to Vervada ad the same thing with Vervada, Vervada than said in her mind greetings young one. Than Jake had went over to Vervada and mounted Vervada, than he looked back at Emily as Emily went over to Ianthe and mounted her dragon. He said it was item for him to go and ask if she was coming unless if she had other plans. "No, I don't have any other plans. By the way, this is Ianthe." Greetings, old ones. B that point, Emily was totally mounted on Ianthe, Emily looked at Ianthe when she said that. You call me little one or young one, when you call them old ones. Ianthe made a laughing sound inside her mind. That's because you are young. Emily merely shrugged when Ianthe said that.
