Roy sat on the back of a huge red and orange dragon. Wings flapped loudly as Roy hung onto the dragon saddle that is cinched around Soreth's body. Roy grabbed a spike that is part of Soreth's back, "Don't hold on tight. I will never let you fall." Soreth's voice whispered into Roy's mind.
Roy smiled softy, "Okay, I will not hold onto you too tightly. Make sure to be ready to catch me. I am not as good at balance," Roy let go of the spike. Soreth sighed, "You are better at balance than you think, Roy." the red and orange dragon sent a soft nudge of sensation to his rider. Roy sighed as he scanned the area, "So, how far are we from the Bolvek Tribe?" he asked Soreth. " Well, we are 5 minutes from here. Jacob wants to see us in combat, that is why he told me to bring you here." the dragon seemed to chuckle. Roy nodded as he remembered when Soreth surprisingly grabbed him from the front door of the house without saying anything. Roy then seemed worried and asked Soreth multiple times what is wrong. After a while, Soreth told Roy what is happening. Soon, Soreth landed into the territory of the Bolvek territory softly. Roy dismounted and patted Soreth as he waited for Jacob to come and give him orders.

Jake and Vervada weren’t too far away from their students, looking at the lay of the land and making sure that there wasn’t anything that could go wrong. His mission, one that he decided would make a good test of their students’ progress, was to go raid one of the lesser villages of the Bolvek tribe as they had attacked a town in the empire and had left many wounded and injured there.
He watched as they landed and then decided that it was time to go talk with them, tell them the full details of what was going on, and so he directed Vervada to fly over to where they had landed and had her land herself, then jumped down. Roy, Soreth…[/color he nodded to each in turn, here’s you orders. Six minutes due north of here is a small ugral village that belongs to the tribe Bolvek. The citizens of this small community decided to attack and pillage a small town in the empire around a week ago, and left the good townsmen with many wounded and with barely anything left to get by. I decided that it’s time we reminded them why their territory is the Spine…these sorts of raids have started to become far too common. You and Soreth are to go to this village and get back what supplies you can, and fight any resistance you may meet. But under no circumstance are you to kill unless you absolutely have to….understood?
Finishing he looked at them both, having spoken with an air of seriousness and now giving a look that matched that seriousness. This is the first of you tests…pass it and you’re well on your way to being full riders….good luck and we’ll be watching. With that he went back over to Vervada who took off without even waiting on him to attain his spot on the saddle.

Roy watched as Jacob and Vervada land. The young rider looked at his teacher as he explained everything. His brown hair moved a little in the wind as Soreth blinked before nodding in reply. The huge orange and red dragon turned to his partner " Okay. I will fly over head, Roy. You are better on the ground than air. I have watched you hunt and fight." the dragon opened his wings. Nosing his rider for a second before leaping into your air.
Roy smiled before starting his first mission as a man becoming a rider. He blinked his brown eyes as he hiked through the forest. Each step careful like an experienced hunter that is hunting game that can easily spook. Having his sword ready, Roy kept up his pace as he got closer and closer to his enemy.
"Soreth, I am getting closer to the village. Do you see a party nearby?" he asked his dragon. "Yes, there is about a party 5 yards to your right. They have spears, arrows and swords. 15 strong. Be careful, Roy, I am circling above. Let me know when you need my aid." Soreth spoke as Roy looked up to see his dragon hiding near the clouds and circling.
Roy paused as he got 2 yards from his enemy. He crouched in the bushes as his eyes blinked at 15 men camping at the ready for an attack. "I am gonna go in, Soreth." he said before saying a pray before springing his attack.
Quietly he crept around and injured the guards as he slowly made his way deeper into enemy territory. Pausing after injuring 5 men, he looked at the ten others that have already realized that men are down. A warning bell was sounded as men started to form up. "Soreth, your turn. Also, no killing any of them." Roy said through his connection to his dragon.
Roy watched as Soreth dived into the camp ground. The enemy broke ranks and retreated toward their village. Roy smiled before he starting to follow the enemy that lead him toward a waiting party and village that he knew was ahead of him. A classic battle is on the rage.
