Summer sat in her room in the trees. Her bags were laying at the foot of her bed as she awaited the next day to fly off to Doru Araeba. It was time for her and Zircona to be among the other riders and to be trained more as a rider. Even though they had mastered the Elvin technique for fighting, magic, and hunting it was time to learn the rider way. She leaned out one of the windows her mom and her had sung into the tree when she was little. Below her, at the base of the tree, lay Zircona. She was awake and was in the way of most elves walking down the main path, but she hardly cared. She wanted to stay near Summer for earlier this morning, the forest had started singing a new song. One that spoke of a new arrival. Although she didn’t know who this person was, she knew she would spot him/her when she saw them. This was the reason for her leaning out the window.
’I grow impatient Zircona.’ Summer’s thought broke the silence that had been going on for an hour in their minds. She looked down and started to swing her legs out of the window when she heard Zircona start talking. ’They will be here shortly. I can feel it.’ Summer sighed and hopped out of the window landing softly on the balls of her feet next to Zircona. She looked at her dragon and leaned against her massive leg.
When she had just about given up the wait and had been about to go deeper into the forest, she saw some elves turn and stare as others continued on their path. A couple moments pass as Zircona and Summer looked ahead both with interest as a human rider and his dragon step into their view. They seemed to be lost, which many people could get lost in here, so the two decided to go up and introduce themselves. ”Hello. My name is Summer and this is Zircona. What are you two up to here in Ellesmera?” She looked at the two of them trying to place an age on both. The boy looked to be about her ago when the dragon looked to be about Zircona’s age.
Zircona pushed into the boys and dragons minds. She was just barely on the fringe. Her mind didn’t venture further since she didn’t want to go into their memories or feelings. ’I would rather not Summer speak for me, but if it is necessary I will back out of your minds. I do not wish to intrude, only make easier. What she forgot to ask was what your names are? Not many come here just to view the city, which is why that question was asked.’ Both she and Summer straightened up since they had been slouching. If either was caught, they would get talked to by her mother. And although they were stronger, they both loved Summer’s mother and didn’t want to aggravate her. Plus, she was letting Summer leave the city and if she caught them doing something it would be all the more reason for her to not let them go.

Roy and Soreth flew toward the forest. As they reached the large forest, Soreth landed before the forest area. The young dragon rider patted the orange and red scales of his partner. They both walked into the trees and watched bird fly by and listened to nature's calls.
Suddenly, Soreth paused as he heard and felt a nearby dragon rider. Roy also stopped before he glanced up at Soreth. "What is it, Soreth?" he asked before Soreth answered. "Another dragon and rider are nearby." Soreth's words said to Soreth's mind.
The human rider nodded before both of them walked closer. Roy stopped as he went into the view of the other dragon and her rider. They greeted them politely with their names. " Nice to meet you Summer Zicorna." before bowing his head politely. " I am Roy and this is my dragon, Soreth. If I remember right, we are here to maybe get the full honor of being a rider." he said as he straightened up and smiled politely at the other rider and dragon. Roy wondered if Summer understands his answer to his question. He was answering in a politer way about his rider sword.
He heard Zircona and nodded softly. Soreth then said to Zarcona, "Roy means that he is here to receive his rider's sword." he said to Zicona's mind with a calm, polite, male voice.

The pair listened to the others talk. When all was said Zircona quickly told Summer what they wanted. Just in case there was a little doubt in her mind. It was then that Summer nodded. ”Of course. Would you need help finding the way?” Summer wasn’t sure if they had been told exactly where to go or if they were told to just go to Ellesmera. She took this time to take in the boy’s appearance a bit more. He was of course a human rider, he had none of the Elvin traits. She wasn’t sure if he could use magic to a high degree or low degree, that would be seen in time and it wasn’t very nice to ask.
She took in his height, which was only 3 inches lower than her own. He was a little more bulky than she which she took in as his strength since he did look to be defined. His eyes to her knowledge looked to be blue, and his hair was most definitely brown. It was then that her eyes flicked to his dragon. It was red and orange. She didn’t really see any similarities in colors between the two like most humans and their bonds. Zircona for instance had a blue hide whereas she had blue eyes flecked in the same color.
Zircona looked at the two and noticed the same. Perhaps not as detailed as height and weight, but she didn’t mind any of that stuff. She looked to Soreth and spoke to him in a questioning tone of voice. ’How long have you two been traveling to get here?’
