History\\ After his mother laid his egg, he waited for years, waiting until the time felt right for him to break open his egg and see the world. When that time came, when he felt that the world would easily welcome another dragon, he hatched. The first things he saw were a dense forest, his nest, and not a single scale of any other dragons. He didn’t know that nearly ten years had passed since his mother had placed his egg here, and that she was currently away hunting, nor that she would soon be back. Even as an infant, he was well muscled, evidence that he would grow to be extremely powerful. Other than the muscles, he was also built with flight in mind, showing that he would also be an exceptionally skilled flyer.
On the day after he hatched, he encountered a forest hunter….a panther. He had felt fear, and defiance at the larger creature, and when it attacked viciously defended himself, hurting the bigger predator before it was plucked off of him with effortless ease….his mother had returned. Over the next four years she taught him everything she knew: how to fight, hunt, clean his scales, fly, combat maneuvers, and their history. Anything that she thought he would ever need, she taught him. After she was done with her training, she took him to his father, who then taught him everything else he needed to know. He never saw his mother again.
Twenty years later he was flying toward the Dwarven city of Orthiad when he was attacked by a much larger dragon them him. He turned and faced his attacker, nimbly dodging the worst attacks, all the while trying to sneak around to bite the soft spot behind the elder dragons head. He was young and so had the advantage in stamina and flexibility, as well as endurance, so that after three hours of fighting he finally managed to get around and make the kill. He watched as the elder dragon plummeted and made a crater in the soft earth below.
Forty years after his first kill he was visiting Doru Araeba when he decided to disgorge his Eldunari and have it placed within the vault there, trusting the Riders to keep it safe and threatening death if they didn’t. After his visit he flew back to his ancestral home in the Hadarac desert, where he found his sire on his death bed. He learned that his father had been ambushed by a small group of shades and had been unable to defend himself while they slowly killed him. After a few other dragons had gathered, Vanilor started speaking. All of what he had said was burned into Eridors memory, especially since much of what Vanilor said made Eridor into the dragons leader.
Two hundred years later he watched the first Humans land on Alagaesia, and was present when the Eleves and Dragons amended their spells to allow the humans to become Riders too. He encouraged it because he thought that it would benefit all of the races involved, and again offered a spot in this pact to the Dwarves, who again declined.
He spent the next hundred years hunting down the Shades that had killed his sire with the help of two of the Elven Dragon Riders. With their help he managed to hunt down and kill seven of the eight shades….the last one always managing to slip away at the last moment. He constantly keeps his eyes open hoping to find him, but since the hunt he has yet to find him.
Since then until present he has been actively teaching and helping younger dragons, whether they are bonded dragons or not, feeling like he was doing something useful instead of wasting away randomly flying to and fro. He tried to get the wild dragons to stop most of their attacks on the Dwarves and Humans settlements, and for the most part he succeeded, though there was still the random burned house or missing sheep.

As they laid in his bed watching the movie and cuddling, he started thinking about how everything was going to work out. They were going to have to steal the fastest car in the guardians garage, otherwise they had no chance. He was pretty sure the fastest thing they had was a charger with one if the interceptor engines in it. That's what he was going to go for. He also realized he was going to have to be out in the sun, though the tan covering his arms, face, and body were evidence that he had spent much time outside during the day, especially since he hated those tanning bed things.[/font]
He saw a look of frustration on Taylors face and squeezed his arms a little tighter. If you're wondering how we're going to pull off being in the sun, because it's obvious were going to have to be, dont worry about it..... I can stay outside for a long time during the day without slowing down or getting weak. Sure, I'm still more sensitive than you Dhampirs, but I'm much more resistive than most Moroi. I was thinking, were going to have to go a long way from here right? You have a passport? If you do we might try for somewhere close to the equator. We can find us a little land and build a little house there. We wouldn't have to worry about Strigoi too much to, since most Moroi live farther north. Then after a few months have passed, if we haven't been caught, we can move back states side and buy a property on the waterfront somewhere, and build a bigger, more permanent house. Live our own life, make some friends that are human.
And that's when the thought hit him. I'm going to have to hunt..... I can't survive long without blood. He thought he might as well voice the thought, knowing shed remember about it sooner or later. Taylor..... I think you should come with me to the feeders in the morning.....you're going to have to get used to seeing me eat..... Because when we get out there, I'm going to have to hunt for that food. And I assume that when I do you're probably going to be right beside me. And I'm not accepting donations...... he eyed her meaningfully at that last part, knowing it was not a good thing to even suggest, but he didnt want her even considering doing that. To him, it would be extremely wrong, to say the least.... He knew it would be much worse for her.
Taylor eventually spoke up. So, when do you want to do this? he knew she meant the escape. He thought about it for a second. Ummm..... Whenever you say youre ready, I'm ready. Today, tomorrow...next week, it makes little difference to me.She grinned in response. Oh alright. I just need to....deal with Summer first. See what she has planned
He thought about that, and admitted he was still concerned about what she had in store for them, for he had no doubt that if affected Taylor, it would affect him to. While he was thinking he felt Taylor rest her head on his shoulder once more, and saw her close her eyes. He thought she was sleeping until he saw her eyes open and watched her lean into him and kiss his neck, working her lips up to his jaw. At first he tensed up... She'd caught him by surprise. She must have felt him tense and thought she'd gone too far, because she stopped kissing him. He rolled over onto his back, pulling her with him as he turned so that she would be on top of him.
Their eyes met and her hair hung down, the tips tickling him. They stayed like that for a second, then he leaned up and pressed his lips against hers, kissing her long and sweet. He felt her smile against his lips, could sense her hesitation, but he understood after he wouldnt like hurt his tongue on someone elses fang. He felt her start to open her mouth a little more, still kissing him. Then he heard a phone vibrate. Her phone he guessed. She ignored it, continuing to kiss him.
After it stopped he let out sugh of relief, until it started ringing. He saw her sigh and pull away from him sitting up. He noticed that she was still straddling his lap, though it wasnt anything he hadnt done himself when they practiced. He saw her reach into her pocket and pull out her phone. Hello? He noticed her voice was stern, and he sort of guessed who it was then. He saw her look at him apologetically, then turn her attention back to her phone. Yes what is it Summer?
A few seconds later she closed her phone and looked at him, her jaw hanging open. What'd she do now? Are we going to have to leave sooner than we were planning? He was eager to leave, but the look on his face said he was concerned. He listened while she explained, nodding his understanding. He already had a few choice names for Summer, neither of them nice, and decided there was absolutely no way they wouldve been friends.
We can leave tomorrow, and I'll definitely have to visit the feeders. Not that I want to after feeding this morning, but because it'll be necessary. If you want you can spend the night here, and in the morning we can sneak over to your dorm and grab some clothes. Also, now that I think about it, the armory is right next to the garage...... We should grab some extra weapons before we go...... A couple extra stakes would be nice, and maybe a sword, definitely a gun, if for no other reason than we may need to hunt for food.
He definitely wanted to grab a sword. He may not really know how to used a stake, but he did know how to use a sword. He'd been instructed in swordsmanship since his parents were alive, and was a passion of his. The headmistress had not seen any reason he couldn't continue learning the skill and had even sought out an expert instructor for him who he had long since learned everything the man had to teach. He also knew it was another way to kill a Strigoi. yes, ill definitely want a sword....
